The Accapi Group, exclusive European distributor of the American dog brand Ruffwear, has established its first German “competence centre” at the Munich-based pet specialist Hundemaxx. In the Ruffwear zone on the first floor of the 3 000 m2 store, customers can browse an extensive range of items and have their dog measured for size individually by trained staff at the new Ruffwear measuring and fitting station.
Frank Weber, owner of Hundemaxx, says: “We are proud to have been a Ruffwear stockist since 2014. The introduction of the new ‘competence centre’ has broadened the Ruffwear product portfolio and extended the display area to 20 m2. This in turn has increased our sales of Ruffwear and the footfall into the store from customers seeking specific gear for outdoor adventures with their dogs.”
As a result of the highly positive response to this project, the Accapi Group, which represents Ruffwear in 31 European countries, plans to open and operate more Ruffwear “competence centres” in Germany and other countries in Europe in the spring and summer.
